Featured at the New York Auto Show is the new 2011 BMW Alpina B7 Xdrive (Xdrive meaning all wheel drive) and looks extremely good in that blue with the 20 spoke rims in silver. I prefer silver rims over any other due to their sublety and they don't scream for attention like chrome does. This Alpina comes with a 4.4 Liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 500 Horsepower under the hood. I'm going there this week and this is going to be one of the cars I'm looking forward to seeing in person. Good luck trying to purchase one of these here in the states because they are sold primarily in Europe and Asia. I absolutely love this car!
Chanel is definitely going to make a big turnover on this product due to the low cost of materials i.e. wicker, leather, wood and steel. I understand the hard process of actually designing the product because I did attend a design school but for $2800 for a Bocce ball set. It comes with 8 stainless steel bocce balls with the chanel logo engraved in it and a wooden "jack". Fashionista/TV personality/model Alexa Chung is using the Bocce wicker case as a handbag!
Here are a few images from the Prada S/S 2010 lookbook that I liked the best but they don't look very season appropriate with the dark grey images of men wearing tweed pieces. Usually tweed is promoted in the fall/winter season but hey in fashion there are no rules! Nonetheless I do like these blazers and that overcoat.
Fellow Fashion Institute of Technology alumni Donna Karan does a great job on these two luxurious jackets. The first one is the Pleated Tulle Jacket in a cream-ivory color, is so elegant and perfect for one of those special nights out. It retails for $2695. The second jacket is the Belted Linen-Blend Jacket in a taupe/stone grey and is also perfect for one of those special nights especially in the Hamptons this season. Both were Runway pieces from Donna Karans S/S 2010 show. Available now @ NET-A-PORTER.com.
Growing up (in Upstate NY) in my teens I think I had more Tommy Hilfiger pieces than any other. Just recently Mr. Hilfiger sold his company to Van Heusen Corporation for $3 Billion which is like 7 times its worth. Congrats! But he still oversees the company and he designed this lovely bag for breast cancer awareness. For every bag purchased 50% of the proceeds go to Fund for Living which help out women struggling with breast cancer. Pictured modeling the bag is Milla Jovovich famed actress, model and fashion designer who supposedly helped with the design of this bag. Available now @ TommyHilfiger Flagship Stores for $378.
London's own Aquascutum has a nice looking Spring/Summer 2010 collection and has been around since 1853. Their original waterproof coat that they were famous for is pictured first to the left. Same style and silhouette from the 1800's. Check out more at Aquascutum.co.uk!

Here are some images of the Thom Browne Supreme Oxford Shirt collaboration actually being worn. Actually seeing the product being worn just changes everything as far as how we perceive images in our minds. Do you know how many times I've seen a shirt or a shoe and didn't pay any mind to it until I actually seen it on somebody and it changed my whole perception. I really like all three but to actually acquire one of these is going to close to impossible. So happy hunting!
Nauticas creator David Chu's new LINCS line is a bit of fresh air to the classic American style. It comes in two different styles for Spring 2010, the Southhampton collection and the Scottsdale collection. I really like that blazer and those cream colored chinos pictured above mixed in with that sand from the Hudson National Golf Club was just perfect. Go to LINCSDavidChu.com for retail locations nearest you and to see the rest of the Spring Collection.
Jil Sanders buttery soft leather bag comes in my favorite color for any leather product caramel brown. Very cool briefcase-like handles! This bag is actually sold out at Net-A-Porter.com and was retailing for $1900. Ladies keep an eye out for this one.
I was actually looking for some rainboots for all this rain that we're getting over here in New York and I came across these bad boys. I wouldn't wear them now because they have a warm wintery wool lining but I need these for next winter. Their unisex and available now @ Burberry.com for $295.
I really like how this jacket looks and it is very wearable unlike most runway pieces. Good job Mr. Jacobs! Available now @ Colette.fr for $1981.
Who in their right mind doesn't like cupcakes? Well I do, so that's why I'm posting this besides the point that I like how this clutch came out. Judith Leiber seems to have an extremely creative imagination when it comes to creating clutch bags but this one is my favorite. It is decked out in colorful Swavorski crystals and is available now @ NET-A-PORTER.com for $4,295.
